When we talk about quality garments, most people think of clothing, shoes, and some accessories, but socks are almost never part of these conversations. No matter what style of dressing you prefer, socks make a difference. Quality socks always stand out and show that you put in the effort and pay attention to details – they send a message that you care. Yet, they often get overlooked. Some people also avoid paying a premium for socks because they are a consumable item, and while that’s true, it doesn’t change the fact that quality socks are better made, feel better, look better, and last longer. In my opinion, it's worth investing in quality socks, but there is a balance when we talk about value for price. You can get solid socks for around €15-20 and great socks for around €25-35, though they can also cost much more. A lot depends on the fabric and manufacturing. Socks can add an interesting pop of color to your outfit. For tailored looks, I prefer muted colors with less contrast, but for casual outfits, I enjoy bright socks to add some extra life. Yellow, orange, and green are my favorite colors to pair with ecru or white jeans for a perfect contrast. But to keep it safe, avoid using more than two bright colors in an outfit - one for clothing and one for accessories. If you're not confident with color combinations, it’s better to stick to just one bright piece. But that’s a topic for another article.
