Things I like this month - February 2025

'Things I Like This Month,' is a monthly newsletter where I share things I genuinely like or that stood out to me and felt worth talking about.

Everything you read in this article is my honest opinion, and nothing is paid for. I’m always excited to see new quality products and discover new brands or makers, so I’m always very happy when you guys send me suggestions or something you think I might like.

Henry Cavill is the new face of Longines

Henry Cavill is the new face of Longines. I think he deserved a watch brand endorsement deal, and at the moment, there’s no better brand for him than Longines. I believe Hamilton would also be a great option for his character and style.

But does this confirm that he won’t be the next James Bond, or could it mean there’s a chance for a new watch brand in the franchise? Omega has been James Bond’s watch since GoldenEye in 1995. Since then, Omega has become much more popular, partly thanks to the James Bond franchise. So maybe, after 30 years, the Swatch Group has decided to put the spotlight on another brand from their catalog.

Poszetka Western Noir drop

You know I don’t usually wear black clothes, but during my visit to Poszetka last November, they showed me a sample of this black corduroy Western shirt. You know there must be something special about it if I wanted to try it on, even though it’s black. It’s hard to put it into words. It’s a black corduroy shirt, but it makes a statement—black corduroy really transforms this western shirt into something very unique. It can be worn casually, but you can also dress it up. And trust me, people will notice when you wear this shirt. In the Western Noir drop, you can also find black selvedge jeans, a western hat, Chelsea boots, and a few other pieces.

Lee x Buck Mason

This collaboration honors Lee’s iconic 101 jeans and 101J Rider jacket, focusing on their importance during the 1940s and 1950s - an era that shaped modern denim. Using USA-made, Japanese loomstate selvedge denim, the collection is a precise remake of these classics while also introducing a military-inspired version. And the hand-burnished suede version of the Lee 91B work jacket pays tribute to California’s style history.

3sixteen RS-33x - Natural Selvedge Denim

You know how much I love ecru jeans - they're a staple in my wardrobe and something I often wear. This new pair of jeans from 3sixteen is another quality option that belongs on the list of the best high-rise ecru jeans. The cut is generous and comfortable, with a straight leg and a high waist. They're crafted from 12oz ecru selvedge denim, woven exclusively for 3sixteen by Kuroki Mills. The jeans have been garment-washed for a soft, broken-in feel from day one and are proudly made in the USA.

Bennet Winch updated canvas Tote Bag

Bennett Winch updated their canvas tote bag lineup, with additional handle length option. Now, you can choose between the short handle - the original, or the longer handle, which gives you the option to carry it on your shoulder. The canvas tote is available in five colors.

Barbour x J.Crew Barn Jacket

In this collaboration, J.Crew's classic Barn Jacket was reimagined by the famous British brand known for its weather-resistant outerwear and countrywear. Originally introduced in 1983, the jacket is crafted from Barbour's four-ounce waxed cotton, making it ideal for transitional weather. It has the brand's signature tartan lining, and over time the jacket will break in and develop a unique character.

Unfortunately it’s only available in the USA.

Drakes Pre-Spring Collection and Lookbook

Drake’s released their Pre-Spring collection along with a lookbook. It's another season of mixing very casual and smart elements, with a lot of denim and jersey. And of course, the transitional season is the best time for their signature chore coats.

This came as a surprise to me, but this season I’m really drawn to rugby shirts. So if you have any suggestions for quality rugby shirt options, please leave suggestions in the comments.

Kit Blake Spring Collection

If you're looking for sartorial trousers, Kit Blake just released their Spring collection, and you can find your favourite sping fabric in almost any color imaginable.  The selection of mostly lighter fabrics —from tropical wool and cotton to linen and seersucker is definitely worth checking out.

Natalino Straight Leg Japanese Selvedge Denim - Raw

Natalino just restocked their Raw Denim in new, updated cut. Their fit is one of the best on the market whe it comes to high-rise, straight les classic silhouette. It is not really loose, but relaxed just enough so it perfectly drapes and make the effortlessly elegant appeal.
