What I pack for a week away - Summer Holiday edition
Packing for a summer vacation can be a lot less stressful if you choose a colour palette where all the colours work together, allowing every item you pack to be worn together. This system can help you minimise the amount of clothes you have to pack even if you want to look a bit different every day.
Lightweight jacket
Probably the first thing you think of when packing for summer holidays are the swim trunks. And because of that I will start with the last thing on your mind. A lightweight overshirt or jacket. Something you should always consider in case of bad weather or if it gets chilly in early morning or late evening. But it also really depends on your destination.

Shirts
The main thing you will focus on are probably the shirts. You will need something to wear to the beach and something for a night out or a nice dinner. Again, it depends on the activities and plans that you have for your holidays. But I would say that a white t-shirt and nice white and light blue shirt are a must have. Then you can pack a polo or two and a camp collar shirt to wear to the beach or poolside. You can take a bandana or two in case you want to wear some accessories.

Bottoms
I know you will be in swim trunks most of the time, but you need to have something to wear if you decide to explore the town, do some souvenir shopping or go to a nice dinner. For that I would pick a pair of navy and ecru shorts and a pair of white trousers. Preferably all in linen. And don’t forget to pack the belt!
Belt: Sartolane, White Trousers: Rota x Michael Jondral, Cream Shorts: Drake’s, Navy Shorts: The Real McCoy’s, Navy Swim Trunks: CDLP, Yellow Swim Trunks: The Salty Circle
Footwear
I know this will be very controversial but I don’t like any form of sandals or flip flops or aything else that allows you to show your toes in public. I don’t like the aesthetics of these styles and I don’t like looking at other people’s toes and therefore I don’t want to put other people in a situation where they will have to look at mine. And because of that I wear canvas sneakers to the beach or anywhere near the water. To dress up a little I would go with a pair of espadrilles. You can go with suede version in case you want a bit more elegant style. To take it another step further pack a pair of loafers.
Accessories
Two must have accessories should be a cap and a sunscreen. Don’t forget a perfume or two. Something to wear during the day and something for the evenings. I know many people will say they don’t care about time when on holiday, but I would pack a watch or two. Something nice and delicate on a leather strap to wear to dinners and stainless steel sport model for everything else. Take a watch roll that can carry two watches so you can store both of them when you don’t wear them. Pick a tote bag in case you will need something to carry all your stuff to the beach in. And don’t forget to pack the camera so you won’t have to be on your phone all the time and will be able to relax as you should while on vacation.

Bonus: Snacks
Here I will add that for me snacks are essential part of any travel. I don’t want to get hungry and stressed, so I always have a few of my favourite snacks on me. From beef jerky if I need some protein, salt sticks and gummy bears to get some carbs to peanuts or mixed nuts to get some fats. I will get some fresh fruit as well if possible. And don’t forget to hydrate. On travel days I always carry my 1 liter isolated bottle so my water doesn’t warm up.
